Enriching geography in Iceland
!Velkominn til islands!
Icespiration is a unique, sustainable and bespoke provider of both private and educational visits to the Land of Fire and Ice, Iceland. With 14 years of experience of developing and building relations with real Icelanders, farmers, fishermen, craftspeople, local businesses, academics and institutions, we are able to offer a limited number of tailor-made visits for schools, tourists, specialist interest groups. Our trips are designed to suit your course requirements, and, for schools, to enrich the geography, geology and science components.
For specialist groups we offer photography, bird watchers, yoga retreat experiences.
For schools, we go beyond just core content though and provide quirky, different and engaging activities taught by qualified British teachers familiar with the demands of examination boards. We also provide enrichment opportunities to develop the whole child and teach Icelandic culture. We run two visits per year for tourists who are happy to travel as a group and we offer this annually for teachers from prospective schools. Our staff are food-hygiene trained, dsb checked, qualified first aiders, some are mountain-trained, some are bi or tri-lingual and most have experience of teaching some or all the European Baccalaureat, International Baccalaureat, Pre-U, A-levels, IGCSE, GCSE and Key Stage 3. We have some of Europe’s most experienced fieldstaff and can offer Universities fieldvisits to remote regions. We also have a Primary Geography specialist. We are planning to offer revision courses in GCSE Geography and Science from August 2017.
